Thriving in Quarantine

With the news reports and isolating circumstances, we have entered into a very trying time. The Corona Virus seemed to have spread over night and now schools, libraries, churches and more have shut down until further notice. As a SAHM I've been used to being home more often than not, but not having the library, our church small group or even church as an option to get out and be around other moms and believers has felt very isolating and at times fearful. Today's post is to encourage and to give some ideas to those who have needed to isolate due to compromised immune systems or age. Thankfully, we do not fall into either category in our household but I am praying for those who do have those circumstances in this time. God's timing has been more noticeable to my life over the past couple of years. Self Care in a Selfish World

Hey there! As I was setting up my blog and pondering what my first post would be about, I had to ask myself 'why' I wanted to start blogging on this platform in the first place. I've had several blogs in the past. Some dedicated to beauty, lifestyle, fashion--but in the long run they never stuck, or felt like 'me'. I love blogging and reading other blogs, but if I planned to blog again at any capacity I needed to find my 'why' and also my passion. So, what am I passionate about? In this current season of my life, I am a SAHM/Homemaker. I've been married nearly 6 years to my husband Josh and I stay home to take care of our 20 month old daughter, Leighton. I am passionate about pursuing a relationship with Jesus, being a good wife/mommy and keeping the home a haven and peaceful environment. So, I'm starting with the basics. What makes me the best version of the above? I'm sure we've all heard of the words 'self care' in recent years....
